LAW NO. 19.902 AMENDS THE LAW OF TRANSIT, TO ALLOW THE ELIMINATION OF ANNOTATIONS IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF DRIVERS OF MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE CONDITIONS THAT INDICATES Having present that the National Congress has given its approval to the Bill of Law: " Single article.-Please introduce the following amendments in Law 18.290, of Transit: 1. Substitute Article 15 (3), by the following: "3.-For offences against the order of the family and public morality;" 2. 2. Replace Article 219, by the following: " Article 219.-Annotations in the Register of judgments The execution of sentences for serious or serious infringements may be eliminated after three years, in the case of serious infringements, and two years in the case of serious infringements. Such time limits shall be computed and may be enforced separately for each of those categories of infringements, and shall be counted from the date of the entry of the last infringement of the respective category. The other entries in the Register, which also appear in the General Register of Convictions, shall be deleted, as the case may be, when the elimination of the registration or the criminal record itself has been carried out, in accordance with the law. The elimination will be requested directly from the Service, which will practice prior payment of a right whose amount will be determined annually by supreme decree of the Ministry of Justice. The records in the Register may also be removed by judicial decree or by administrative decision of the Chief of the Service, founded on the existence of a notorious error, or by the local police judge of the domicile of the (a) the applicant, either on its own initiative or in the sole instance of the application for the removal of an annotation not included in the previous points of law, and which is founded on a notorious error or on legal grounds.
