"Sole article.-Introducense following amendments in the Act No. 17,288 about national monuments: 1.-in the final paragraph of article 12, replaced the phrase"from one to five salary vital", with the following:"from five to 200 monthly tax units"."

2. in the second paragraph of article 18, replaced the phrase "from one to five salary vital", with the following: "from five to 50 monthly tax units".

3. in the second subparagraph of article 19, replace the phrase "from one to five salary vital", with the following: "from five to sixty monthly tax units".

4. in the second paragraph of article 22, replaced the phrase "five to ten vital wages", with the following: "ten to five hundred monthly tax units".

5. in the final paragraph of article 23, the phrase "which will be effective in accordance with the provisions of the Act 3.446, without prejudice to the seizure of objects obtained in the excavations that have been carried out", be replaced by the following: "which will be effective in accordance with the provisions of the Decree Law No. 1,094 of 1975, notwithstanding the fine and confiscation indicated in the previous article".

6.-amending article 26 as follows: 1) in the first subparagraph replacements expressions "of the Department" by the word "Provincial".

(2) in the second paragraph replace the sentence: "five to ten salaries vital", with the following: "five to 200 monthly tax units".

7 Add to article 30, a final subsection, read as follows: "violation of provisions of this article shall be punished with a fine of five to two hundred monthly tax units, notwithstanding the suspension of works by the use of public force.".

8 is added to article 31 a final subsection, read as follows: "a breach of the provisions of this article shall be punished by a fine of fifty to five hundred monthly tax units.".

9 Article 38, replace by the following: "article 38.-which would result in damage to a national monument, or afectare in any way its integrity, it will be punished with prison child in grades medium to maximum and a fine of fifty to two hundred monthly tax units.".

10. merge the following 38 bis, new article: "article 38 bis.-the appropriation of a national monument, constitutive of the crimes of theft, theft, robbery with force in things, or robbery with violence or intimidation in people, as well as its receiving stolen goods, shall be punished with a penalty of a fine of fifty to two hundred tax units per month, in addition to the deprivation of liberty that corresponds according to the General rules.
For the theft, if it is not possible to determine the value of the national monument, shall apply the penalty of lower grades in presidio minimum to maximum, in addition to the fine referred to in the preceding subparagraph. "."

11 repeal articles 41 and 43.

12 article 44, replaced by the following: "article 44.-the fines established in this law, with the exception of those laid down in article 38, will be applied by the judge of letters that corresponds to the place in which the infringement, at the request of the National Monuments Council is committed civil or popular action.".
