LAW NO. 20,183 AMENDS LAW NO. 18,700, CONSTITUTIONAL ORGANIC ON POPULAR VOTES AND VOTES, IN ORDER TO RECOGNIZE THE RIGHT TO ASSISTANCE IN THE ACT OF VOTING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES Having present that the Congress National has given its approval to the following bill originating in a motion by Deputy Minister Alejandra Sepulveda Orbenes and Deputies Pedro Araya Guerrero, Carlos Olivares Zepeda and Pablo Lorenzini Basso and former Deputies Waldo Mora Longa and Patricio Cornejo Vidaurrazaga Bill: Single article.-Enter the following amendments to the Law No. 18,700, Constitutional Organic on Popular Voting and Scrutiny: 1.-In Article 61: a) Replace the third paragraph with the following: " With all, persons with disabilities that prevent or hinder them exercise the right to vote, may be accompanied to the table by another person who is of senior age, and shall be entitled to opt to be assisted in the act of voting. In case of doubt as to the nature of the disability of the suffragette, the president shall consult the vowels to take his final decision. "(b) Add the following final point:" If they choose to be assisted, the persons with disability shall communicate orally, by sign language or in writing to the president of the bureau, that a person of his or her confidence, of age and without distinction of sex, shall enter the secret chamber with her, not being able to be the person or any other person hinder or hinder the exercise of the right to be assisted.
