LAW NO. 20,301 AMENDS THE REGULATION OF THE MORTUARY QUOTA OF SCHOOL INSURANCE AND THE DEATH ALLOWANCE OF BENEFICIARIES OF BASIC PENSION AND INVALIDITY SOLIDARITY, LACK OF RESOURCES Having regard to the fact that the National Congress has given its approval of the following bill: Article 1.-In the case of the death of a student in an accident which he or she suffers because of his or her studies or in the performance of his or her professional practice, which is protected by insurance against Article 3 of Law No 16,744, the person or institution who has established that he has taken over the the funeral of the victim, will receive as a mortuary fee, in order to cover the value of them, a sum equivalent to three minimum income for non-remunerative purposes in force at the date of the death of the victim. Article 2.-The beneficiaries of a basic solidarity pension without resources, shall cause death allowance in the terms laid down in the decree with force of law N ° 90, 1979, of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the same legal and regulatory rules applicable to the beneficiaries of basic and old age-old solidarity pension schemes as such, and for the access and payment of such an allowance. Article 3 °.-The greatest expense that the application of this law represents, will be financed from the budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. Transitional Article.-The beneficiaries of a basic solidarity pension of invalidity without resources, who have passed away from 1 July 2008 and up to the day preceding the entry into force of this law, shall be assigned by death, in accordance with the provisions of Article 2. To this end, the relevant beneficiaries must submit their respective application to the Social Welfare Institute. And because I have had to approve and sanction it; therefore, promulgate and take effect as the Law of the Republic.
