"Sole article.-legal persons non profit, such as those established in the law Nº19.418, regardless of its name, those constituted according to the 33rd title of book I of the Civil Code, as well as centres for students, centres General parents and guardians of the whole educational system and at all levels, trade unions, professional associations and sports organizations" they may be at the local level, non-regular activities such as bingo, raffles, lotteries or other similar drawings of movable property.
The activities described in the preceding paragraph only may be made for solidarity purposes or charity in favour of third parties, or for the financing of the purposes of each institution, and must pay its income statement to organisms with which they are linked. For these purposes, the activities carried out under the aforementioned terms will not be considered gambling in accordance to the Nº19.995 law, which establishes the general basis for the authorisation, operation and supervision of casinos.
The activities concerned must inform, in writing, at least twenty-four hours in advance, to the municipality of the respective commune, through its office of parts.
Those who organize, participate or attend the activities outlined in the preceding paragraphs will not incur criminal responsibility for the effects of articles 277, 278 and 279 of the criminal code. "."
