It amends the law number 2,406, of September 9, 1910, of montepio of the Army and Navy officers. As soon as the National Congress has given its approval to the following Bill: Article 1.o The montepio pensions of Army and Navy officers, affected by law number 2,406, of 9 September 1910, will be computed in relation to the minimum wages of the laws numbers 4,092 and 4,093 of 16 September 1926. The jobs recognized for the effects of the retreat will serve as the basis for the computation of the montepio. Article 2. 2. 5 percent of the salaries fixed by the aforementioned laws, will serve as the basis for financing the amount of the law number 2,406, and this discount will be deducted from the retirement pensions of the same officers. This discount of 5 percent will be for life and the montepios that, subject to this law will be granted, will be paid at a discount of 2 percent. Art. 3.o For the purposes of the same montepio the fraction of the year shall not be considered as full year. Art. 4.o It will be paid reduced by 50 percent and without the discount of 2 percent of article 2.o, the montepio that the law number 2,406, agrees to the legitimate sisters, with such that they meet the quality of being single or orphan widows. Art. 5.o The effective services and the discount time of law number 2,406 shall be computed until 31 December 1927, unless the officers are servants of the war of 1879-84, declared to be such in accordance with the incisos 1.o and 2.o of the Article 11 of Decree-Law No 139 of 3 December 1924. The legal dispatchers of these combatants will be counted against the time of their effective services and discounts, until they are forty years old. In no case will the discount of five percent be stopped. Article 6. This law shall apply from the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
