DECREE NO. 3,727, OF January 12, 2001

Authorizes deposit of Union-owned shares in the Federal Corporate Debt Amortization Fund, in the form set out in the art. 30 of Law No. 9,069 of June 29, 1995 on the art. 3º of the Decree No. 1,312 of November 18, 1994 and gives other arrangements.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that gives it the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and with a view to the provisions of the art. 30 of Law No. 9,069, of June 29, 1995;

D E C R E T A:

Art. 1º It is authorized the deposit, in the Federal Corporate Debt Amortization Fund, of which it treats art. 29 of Law No. 9,069 of June 29, 1995 of the following actions discriminated against:

I-of Tele North East Participants S.A. -9,618,479 nominative common shares, entitled to vote, representative of 0.0029% of the social capital;

II-of Tele North East Participants S.A. -8,011,155 nominative preferred shares, without a right to vote, representative of 0.0024% of the social capital;

III-of BRAZIL TELECOM Participations S.A. -9,618,479 nominative common shares, entitled to vote, representative of 0.0029% of the social capital;

IV-of BRAZIL TELECOM Participations S.A. -8,011,155 nominative preferred shares, with no right to vote, representative of 0.0024% of the social capital;

V-da Embratel Participações S.A. -9,618,479 nominative common shares, entitled to vote, representative of 0.0029% of the social capital;

VI-of Embratel Participações S.A. -8,011,155 nominative preferred shares, with no right to vote, representative of 0.0024% of the social capital;

VII-of Telemig Cellular Shareholdings S.A. -9,618,479 nominative common shares, entitled to vote, representative of 0.0029% of the social capital;

VIII-of Telemig Cellular Shareholdings S.A. -8,011,155 nominative preferred shares, with no right to vote, representative of 0.0024% of the social capital;

IX-of Tele Cellular Sul Participations S.A. -9,618,479 nominative common shares, entitled to vote, representative of 0.0029% of the social capital;

Art. 2º Ficam withdrawals from the Federal Corporate Debt Amortization Fund as 1,104,940 issuing shares of the Supply Company d' àgua and Sanitation of the State of Alagoas-COUPLE, included in the FAD through Decree No. 3,082 of June 10, 1999.

Art. 3º This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
