DECREE OF October 27, 2004

Homologa the administrative demarcation of the Terra Indigenous Lake Jauari Land, located in the Municipality of Manicoré, State of the Amazonas.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution that confers it on art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and with a view to art. 19, § 1º, of Law No. 6,001, of December 19, 1973, and the art. 5º of Decree No. 1,775, of January 8, 1996,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is homologated to administrative demarcation, promoted by the National Indigenous Foundation-FUNAI, of Indigenous land intended for the permanent possession of the Mura Indigenous Group, described below: the Indigenous Land named Lake Jauari, with surface of twelve thousand, twenty-three hectares, eight ares and forty-four centiars and perimeter of fifty-three-thousand, eight-hundred and fifty five metres and forty two centimetres, located in the Municipality of Manicoré, State of Amazonas, circumscribes to the following limits: NORTH: departing from the Marco SAT-65, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06o10 ' 11.5462 " S and 62o01'58, 4850" WGr., located at the bedside of the Igarapé do Jauari, follows by a straight line, passing through the milestones M-64, M-63, M-62, M-61, M-60, M-59, M-58, until reaching the Marco SAT-54, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06o08 ' 32, 3923 " S and 61o58 '02, 1302" WGr., located at the bedside of the Igarapé Alike; hence, it follows by the said igarapé, downstream, until you find the Igarapé Tabocal, forming the Igarapé Terra Preta, at Point P-01, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06o09' 52.8 " S and 61o56 '30,8" WGr; EAST: from the point before described, it follows by the Igarapé Terra Preta, downstream sense, up to Point P-02, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06o11'07,8 " S and 61o55' 09,8" WGr, located at its confluence with the Igarapé of Lake Novo and with the Lake Jauari, hence, follows marching the said lake to the Point P-03, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06º12 '32.0 " S and 61o55' 47,1" WGr., located at the confluence of Lake Jauari with the Paraná do Jauari; hence, it follows by this paraná to the Point P-04, of geodetic geographical coordinates 06o14 '54.3 " S and 61o53' 25,8" WGr., situated at its mouth in the Paraná de Santa Cruz; SUL: from the point before described, it follows by the Paraná de Santa Cruz and the Madeira River, upstream, up to Point P-05, of geographical coordinates geodetics of 06o14 ' 15.6 " S and 62o01'51,8" WGr., located at the confluence of the Igarapé do Jauari; WEST: from the point before described, it follows by the Igarapé of the Jauari, upstream, up to its bedside, at the Marco SAT-65, initial of the description of this perimeter. OBS: 1-Base cartographic used in the elaboration of this descriptive memorial: SB.20-Z-A-II and III-Scale: 1:100.000-Body: DSG-Year: 1987. 2-The coordinates described in this memorial are referenced to the datum SAD 69.

Art. 2º This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
