Art. 2nd The Middle Purpose Extracts Reserve aims to protect the means of life and ensure the use and conservation of the renewable natural resources traditionally used by the communities of Acimã, Ajuricaba, Alcantara, Bananal, Barranco do Bosque, Bela Rosa, Good Union, Boca do Ituxi, Boca do Mamiruá, Buraco, Cacao, Cachoeira do Ilário, Cacianã, Cacurian, Capacini, Ermida, Holy Spirit, Season, Gaivota, Jucuri, Juruquá, Jutari, Orange, Maloca, Materipuã, Miracema, New Aboada, New Brazil, Pacoval, Porangaba, Beach of the Sacada, Beach of the Santarém, Praia do Sapatini, Pupuri, Quissiã, Realeza, Recanto, Remanso, Samaúma, Samoará, Santa Candida, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, Saint Vitório, São José, São Luis, São Paulo, Tamacuru, Várzea Grande and too many communities incidents in their area of comprehensiveness.

Art. 3rd The main economic activities of the Middle Purús Extrativist Reserve are related to the traditional use of the chestnut, cocountry, andiroba, syringe, açaí, urucurí, bend and the sustainable fishing of various species.

Art. 4th Caberá to the Chico Mendes Institute of Conservation of Biodiversity- Institute Chico Mendes administer the Middle Purús Extractivist Reserve, adopting the necessary measures for its deployment and control, in the terms of the art. 18 and following of the Law no 9,985 of July 18, 2000, providing, in the case of Union lands, the free use assignment contract with the traditional extractivist population, for the purpose of its celebration by the Registry of the Union Heritage of the Union of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, and monitor compliance with the conditions stipulated therein, in the form of the law.

§ 2nd The Federal Attorney General, the organ of the Advocate-General of the Union, by means of its legal unit of implementation with the Chico Mendes Institute, is authorized to promote the relevant administrative and judicial measures, aiming at the declaration of nullity of eventual property titles and their real estate records considered irregular, incidents in the Middle Purús Extrativist Reserve.
