DECREE NO. 5,306 OF December 13, 2004

Disposes on the execution of the Nineteenth Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 36, among the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Argentina, the Republic of Paraguay, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Bolivia, of July 23, 2004.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution that confers it on art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and

Considering that the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, which created the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), firmed by the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil on August 12, 1980 and approved by the National Congress, through the Legislative Decree no 66, of November 16, 1981, provides for the modality of Economic Supplementation Arrangement;

Whereas the Plenipotentiaries of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Paraguay, the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and the Republic of Bolivia, on the basis of the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, signed, on December 17, 1996, in Montevideo, the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 36, incorporated into the national legal planning by the Decree no 2,240, of May 28, 1997;

Whereas the plenipotentiaries of the Federative Republic of Brazil, of the Argentine Republic, of the Republic of Paraguay, of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and the Republic of Bolivia, on the basis of the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, signed, on July 23, 2004, in Montevideo, the Nineteenth Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement no 36;

DECRETA:

Art. 1º The Nineteenth Additional Protocol to the Economic Supplementation Agreement No. 36, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, of the Argentine Republic, of the Republic of Paraguay, of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Bolivia, apensed by copy to the present Decree, shall be executed and fulfilled as entirely as it contains.

Art. 2º This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
