DECREE NO. 7,935, OF February 19, 2013

Promulgates the Convention of Extradition among the Member States of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, firmed up in City of the Beach, Republic of Cape Verde, on November 23, 2005.

THE CHAIRWOMAN OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers it on art. 84, caput, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and Whereas the National Congress adopted the Convention of Extradition among the Member States of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries-CPLP, by means of Legislative Decree No. 45, March 30 of 2009, firmed up in City of the Beach, Republic of Cape Verde, on November 23, 2005;

Considering that the Agreement entered into force for the Federative Republic of Brazil, in the external legal plan, on 1º June 2009,

D And C R And T A:

Art. 1º The Convention of Extradition among the Member States of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, firmed up in City of the Beach, Republic of Cape Verde, on November 23, 2005, attaches to this Decree, will be executed and fulfilled in full in its terms.

Art. 2º Are subject to the approval of the National Congress acts that may result in revision of the Convention and supplementary adjustments which, pursuant to the incisions I of the caput of art. 49 of the Constitution, carries charges or gravy commitments to the national heritage.

Art. 3º This Decree takes effect on the date of its publication.
