DECREE OF April 30, 2001

Homologa the administrative demarcation of the Indigenous Land Caxinauá (Kaxinawá) of the Lower Jordan River, located in the Municipality of Jordan, State of the Acre.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers it on art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and with a view to art. 19, § 1º, of Law No. 6,001, of December 19, 1973, and the art. 5º of Decree No. 1,775, of January 8, 1996,

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is homologated to administrative demarcation, promoted by the National Indigenous Foundation-FUNAI, of Indigenous land intended for possession permanent of the indigenous group Caxinauá (Kaxinawá), hereinafter described: the Indigenous Land named Caxinauá (Kaxinawá) of the Low River Jordan, with surface area of eight thousand, seven hundred and six hectares, forty and nine airs and fifty and two centiars and perimeter of sixty-eight thousand, five hundred and forty-eight meters and forty-five centimeters, situated in the Municipality of Jordan, State of the Acre, circumscribes to the following limits: NORTH: departing from the M-08, coordinate-bound M-08 geodesics 09º12 '52, 4099 "S and 72º03' 04, 9025" WGr., located in the watershed separating the basins of the Jordan River and the Tagus River, follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-09, of geodetic coordinates 09º13 '13.5355" S and 72º02' 55, 2554" WGr.; hence, follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-10, from geodetic coordinates 09º13 '16, to 9746 "S and 72º02' 37, 1376" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-11, of geodetic coordinates 09º13 '30.5004" S and 72º02' 12, 2164" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark SAT-MS 414, of geodetic coordinates 09º13 '42, 2781 "S and 72º01'57, 6214" WGr., located at the bedside of the Igarapé Extrema; hence, it follows by the said igarapé, downstream, up to the scanned point P-01, of geodetic coordinates 09º15' 02, 8805" S and 72º00 '31, 3421" WGr., located at the confluence with the Jordan River; hence, it follows by the cited river, downstream, up to the scanned point P-02, of geodetic coordinates 09º13' 29, 7774 " S and 71º58 ' 25, 4142" WGr., located at the confluence with the Igarapé Are Joaquim (in the stretch between the landmark M-08 and the P-02 point, clash with the Seringal Boa Vista); EAST: from the point before described, it follows by the Igarapé São Joaquim, upstream, confronting with the Seringal Saint John, up to the landmark SAT-MS 418, from geodetic coordinates 09º14 '44.5976 "S and 71º57' 34,0351" WGr., located at your bedside; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-12, from geodetic coordinates 09º15 '08, to 8959" S and 71º57' 43, 1836 " WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line to the milestone M-13, of geodetic coordinates 09º15 '32.0409 "S and 71º57' 55, 2769" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-14, of geodetic coordinates 09º15 '52, to 1560" S and 71º58' 02,5579" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-15, of coordinates geodesics 09º16 '11, 2698 "S and 71º58' 07, 3369" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-16, from geodetic coordinates 09º16 '23, to 3009" S and 71º58' 34, 3893" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-17, of geodetic coordinates 09º16 '47, 6496 "S and 71º58' 37, 8722" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-18, from geodetic coordinates 09º17 '12, to 6802" S and 71º58' 45, 9511" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark SAT-MS 419, from geodetic coordinates 09º17 ' 32, to 1985 " S and 71º58 ' 47.0431 " WGr., located at the bedside of the Igarapé Veado (in the stretch between SAT-MS 418 and SAT-MS 419 milestones, the limit lies in the watershed separating the basins of the Tarauacá River and the Jordan River and confronts with the Seringal Independence); hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-19, of geodetic coordinates 09º17 '37.5944 "S and 71º59' 13, 8394" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-20, of geodetic coordinates 09º17 '58, to 7730" S and 71º59' 38, 8737 " WGr.; hence, follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-21, of geodetic coordinates 09º18 '25.0740 "S and 71º59' 46, 7283" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-22, of geodetic coordinates 09º18 '56, to 4663" S and 71º59' 40, 9369" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-23, of geodetic coordinates 09º19 '22, 1120 "S and 71º59' 25, 2834" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-24, from geodetic coordinates 09º19 '50, to 1575 " S and 71º59' 26, 3751" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-25, of geodetic coordinates 09º20 '15, 7678 "S and 71º59' 28, 1798" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark M-26, from geodetic coordinates 09º20 '44, to 1072" S and 71º59' 47, 2463" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone SAT-MS 427, of coordinates geodesics 09º20 '45.0131 "S and 72º00' 17,5029" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the milestone M-27, of geodetic coordinates 09º21'20, 9583" S and 72º00 ' 20,5375" WGr.; hence, it follows by a dry line up to the landmark SAT-MS 450 of geodetic coordinates 09º21'56,0636 " S and 72º00 ' 57, 7066" WGr. Cartographic basis used in the elaboration of this descriptive memorial: SC.18-X-D-III and SC.19-V-C-I-Scale 1:100.000-DSG-1988 and 1987.

Art. 2º The Indigenous Land of which treats this Decree, situated in the boundary strip, submit to the provisions of the art. 20, § 2º, of the Constitution.

Art. 3º This Decree comes into force on the date of its publication.
