Prohibits that one same person occupies 2 (two) vacancies simultaneously in public institutions of higher education.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC I do know that the National Congress decrees and I sanction the next Law:

Art. 1st This Law aims to prohibit that one same person occupiers, in the student condition, 2 (two) vacancies, simultaneously, in the undergraduate course, in public institutions of higher education across the national territory.

Art. 2nd It is forbidden for a same person to occupy, in the condition of student, simultaneously, in the undergraduate course, 2 (two) vacancies, in the same course or in different courses in one or more of a public institution of higher education across the national territory.

Art. 3rd The public institution of higher education that will see that one of its students occupies another vacancy at the same or another institution should notify you that you will have to opt for one of the vacancies within 5 (five) working days, counted from the first working day subsequent to the communication.

§ 1st If the student does not appear on the deadline noted in the caput of this article or not to opt for one of the vacancies, the public institution of higher education will arrange for the cancellation:

I- of the older matriculation, in the hypothesis that the duplicity occurs in different institutions;

II-of the most recent matriculation, in the hypothesis of the duplicity occurring at the same institution.

§ 2nd Concomitantly to the cancellation of the matriculation in the form of the provisions of the § 1st article, the nullity of the credits acquired in the course whose matriculation has been cancelled will be enacted.

Art. 4th The student who occups, on the starting date of this Act, 2 (two) vacancies simultaneously will be able to complete the course regularly.

Art. 5th This Law comes into effect after decorations 30 (thirty) days of its publication.
