DECREE NO 8,330, OF November 5, 2014

Promulga the International Agreement of Chairs Tropical, firmed by the Federative Republic of Brazil, in Geneva, on January 27, 2006.

THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution that confers it on art. 84, caput, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and Whereas the Federative Republic of Brazil firmed up the International Tropical Timber Agreement, in Geneva on January 27, 2006;

Whereas the National Congress has approved the International Tropical Timber Agreement, by means of the Decree Legislative No. 325, of August 14, 2013; and

Whereas the Brazilian Government deposited, together with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, on October 18, 2013, the instrument of ratification to the International Tropical Timber Agreement and that the Agreement entered into force, internationally, on December 7, 2011 and, for the Federative Republic of Brazil, in the external legal plan, on October 18, 2013;

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is promulgated the International Tropical Timber Agreement, struck in Geneva, on January 27, 2006, annex to this Decree.

Art. 2º Are subject to the approval of the National Congress acts that may result in revision of the Agreement and supplementary adjustments that entail gravy charges or commitments to the national heritage, in the terms of the inciso I of the art caput. 49 of the Constitution.

Art. 3º This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
