DECREE NO. 7,999, OF May 8, 2013

Promulgates the Additional Agreement amending the Social Security Agreement or Social Security Agreement between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Portuguese Republic, firmed in Brasília, on August 9, 2006.

THE CHAIRWOMAN OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers it on art. 84, caput, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and Whereas the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Portuguese Republic firmed, in Brasilia, on August 9, 2006, the Additional Agreement amending the Social Security Agreement or Social Security;

Whereas the National Congress has approved the Additional Agreement amending the Social Security Agreement or Social Security Agreement through Legislative Decree No. 582 of December 26, 2012;

Considering that the Additional Agreement amending the Social Security Agreement or Social Security Agreement entered into force for the Federative Republic of Brazil, in the external legal plan, on 1º May 2013, pursuant to its Article 3;

D E C R And T A:

Art. 1º It shall be promulgated the Additional Agreement amending the Social Security or Social Security Agreement between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Portuguese Republic, firmed up in Brasilia, on August 9, 2006, annexed to this Decree.

Art. 2º Are subject to the approval of the National Congress acts that may result in revision of the Agreement and supplementary adjustments that entail gravy charges or commitments to the national heritage, pursuant to the inciso I of the caput of the art. 49 of the Constitution.

Art. 3º This Decree takes effect on the date of its publication.
