DECREE NO. 8,331, OF November 12, 2014

Promulgates the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the States-States Parties to Mercosur, the Republic of Bolivia and the Republic of Chile, approved by the Council of Ministers of Mercosur, in Buenos Aires, on February 18, 2002.

The VICE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the exercise of the post of PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignment that confers you the art. 84, caput, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and Considering that the Council of Ministers of Mercosur has approved the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Penal Affairs between the States-Parties to Mercosur, the Republic of Bolivia and the Republic of Chile, in Buenos Aires, on February 18, 2002;

Considering that the National Congress has approved the Agreement by means of Legislative Decree No. 132 of May 26, 2011; and

Whereas the Agreement entered into force for the Federative Republic of Brazil, in the external legal plan, on October 10, 2012, pursuant to its Article 30;

DECRETA:

Art. 1º It is enacted the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Penal Affairs between the States Parties to Mercosur, the Republic of Bolivia and the Republic of Chile, approved by the Council of Ministers of Mercosur, in Buenos Aires, on February 18, 2002, attachment to this Decree.

Art. 2 ° Are subject to the approval of the National Congress acts that may result in revision of the Agreement and supplementary adjustments that entail gravy charges or commitments to the national heritage, in the terms of the inciso I of the art caput. 49 of the Constitution.

Art. 3º This Decree comes into effect on the date of its publication.
