I do know that the FEDERAL SENATE has approved, and I, ANTÔNIO CARLOS MAGALHÃES, PRESIDENT, in the terms of art. 48, item 28, of the Rules of Procedure, promulgated the following.

RESOLUTION NO. 29, OF 2000.

Authorizes the Union to hire credit operation, amounting to R$ 60,000,000.00 (sixty million reais), between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the State of Goiás.

THE FEDERAL SENATE

resolves:

Art. 1º It is the authorized Union, in the terms of the art. 52, inciso VII, of the Federal Constitution, and pursuant to Resolution No. 78, of 1998, of the Federal Senate, to hire credit operation, amounting to R$ 60,000,000.00 (sixty million reais), between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the State of Goiás.

Single paragraph. The resources referred to in this article will be used in the funding of the Incentive Program for the Reduction of the State Public Sector in the Banking Activity-Proes.

Art. 2º The credit operation mentioned in the art. 1º presents the following financial characteristics:

I-value of the credit to be released by the Union: R$ 60,000,000.00 (sixty million reais), which will be used exclusive and mandatorily for the capitalization of the foment agency;

II-way of releasing the resources: the releases of the resources will be carried out by the National Treasury Registry-STN, in line with the art. 10 of the Provisional Measure No. 1.983-48, March 9, 2000, as follows: directly to the State, for the capitalization of the foment agency, after obtained the necessary authorizations to the operation;

III-form of payment: the installments of the released resources will be incorporated into the Parcela (P) defined in the Fourth Clause of the Funding Contract, on the dates on which the clearances occur, by conducting themselves by the conditions of that Instrument.

Art. 3º The authorization granted by this Resolution is to be exercised within two hundred and seventy days, counted from the date of its publication.

Art. 4º This Resolution comes into effect on the date of its publication.
