DECREE NO 6,486, DE June 17, 2008.

Disposes on the execution of the Ata de Rectification, of March 20, 2007, of the Economic Supplementation Agreement No. 62, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties of the MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Cuba.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the attribution conferring you the art. 84, inciso IV, of the Constitution, and

Considering that the 1980 Treaty of Montevideo, which created the Latin American Association of Integration (ALADI), signed by Brazil on August 12, 1980 and approved by the National Congress, by means of Legislative Decree No. 66 of November 16, 1981, provides for the modality of Economic Supplementation Agreement ;

Considering that the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to the MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Cuba, on the basis of the Treaty of Montevideo of 1980, signed, on July 21, 2006, the Economic Supplementation Agreement No. 62, incorporated into the Brazilian domestic law by Decree No. 6,068 of March 26, 2007 ;

Considering that the General Secretariat of ALADI, in the use of the colleges that confers it on Resolution 30, of August 17, 1983, of the Association's Representatives Committee, washed, on March 20, 2007, Rectification Act of the Economic Supplementation Agreement No. 62 ;

DECRETA:

Art. 1º The Rectification Act, of March 20, 2007, of the Economic Supplementation Agreement paragraph 62, between the Governments of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Argentine Republic, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to the MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Cuba, apse by copy to this Decree, shall be performed and fulfilled as entirely as it contains.

Art. 2º This Decree goes into effect on the date of its publication.

ATA OF RETIFICATION OF AGREEMENT OF OPINION OF ECONOMIC SUPPLEMENTATION N ° 62, MERCOSUR- CUBA

In the city of Montevideo, at the twenty days of the month of March two thousand and seven, the General Secretariat of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), in use of the faculties conferring it on Resolution 30 of the Committee of Representatives, as depositary of the Agreements and Protocols signed by the Governments of the Association's member states, and in conformity with the established in its Article Third, it does note:

First.-That by Note ALADI/SUB-JRB-038/07, dated on February 5, 2007, the Secretarial-General informed the Representations of the Countries Signatories on the existence of an error in the text of the Agreement signed between the States Parties to the MERCOSUR and the Republic of Cuba, on July 21, 2006.

Second.-That by Note EMSUR-CR N ° 17/07, dated February 8, 2007, the Representation Argentina together with MERCOSUR and ALADI reported that in Annex I, Concessions given by MERCOSUR to Cuba, in the named Column?Quotas / Observ. bilateral, it corresponds to the item 9503.10.00 the amount of the quota, which is U$S 200,000 annual.

Third.-That the error found consists of:

Fourth.-Which by Note ALADI/SUB-JRB-084/07 of March 9, 2007, the General Secretariat has set a deadline from five days to observations.

Fifth.-That transfer that deadline and not having received submissions from the signatory countries, this Secretarial-General has made the corresponding modifications, in the Portuguese and Spanish versions of the Economic Supplementation Agreement N ° 62, signed on July 21, 2006, between the Governments of the Argentine Republic, the Federative Republic of the Brazil, the Republic of Paraguay and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, States Parties to the MERCOSUR, and the Government of the Republic of Cuba.

And for it to consider, this General Secretariat launder the present Rectification Act, in place and date nominees, in an original in the Portuguese and Spanish languages.
