Renova the concession of the entities it mentions, to explore broadcasting services, and gives other providences.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, in the use of the assignments that confer upon him the arts. 84, inciso IV, and 223, caput, of the Constitution, 33, § 3, of Law No 4,117 of August 27, 1962, and 6da Law No 5,785 of June 23, 1972 and in view of the provisions of the art. 6, inciso I, of Decree No 88,066 of January 26, 1983,

D E C R E T A:

Art. 1º Stay renewed the grants of the entities mentioned below to explore, without a right of exclusivity, by the ten-year term, medium wave sound broadcasting service:

I-ATALAIA RADIO OF CANAVIES LTDA., as of February 25, 1998, in the city of Canavieiras, State of Bahia, outored by Decree No 95,588 of January 5, 1988 (Process No. 53640.000694/97) ;

II-RADIO DIFFUSORA PARANAIBENSE LTDA.-ME, as of January 10, 1998, in the town of Paranaíba, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, outored by Portaria No. 723 of November 8, 1967, and renewed by Decree No. 96,010, 3 of may 1988 (Process No. 53700.001728/97) ;

III-RADIO ALLIANCE LTDA., as of July 10, 1997, in the town of João Pessoa, State of Paraíba, outored by Decree No 94,408 of June 9, 1987 (Process No. 53730.000225/97) ;

Art. 2º Stay renewed the grants of the entities mentioned below to explore, without a right of exclusivity, by the term of fifteen years, broadcasting service of sounds and images:

III-TELEVISION ALTO URUGUAY S.A., as of August 26, 1996, in the city of Erexim, State of Rio Grande do Sul, outored by Decree No 58,765 of June 28, 1966 and renewed by Decree No 86,527 of October 30, 1981 (Process No. 53790.000653/96).

Art. 3º The exploitation of the broadcasting service, whose concessions are renewed by this Decree, shall be governed by the Brazilian Code of Telecommunications, subsequent laws and their regulations.

Art. 4º The renewal of the concessions will only produce legal effects after deliberation of the National Congress, pursuant to § 3º of the art. 223 of the Constitution

Art. 5º This Decree goes into effect on the date of its publication.
