I do know that the National Congress has approved, and I, José Sarney, President of the Federal Senate, under the single paragraph of the art. 52 of the Common Rules and the inciso XXVIII of the art. 48 of the Rules of Procedure of the Federal Senate, promulgated the following

LEGISLATIVE DECREE

No. 538, DE 2012 (*)

Approves the text of the United Nations Convention on Purchase Contracts and International Sale of Goods, established in Vienna on April 11, 1980, within the framework of the United Nations Commission on Mercantile Law International.

The National Congress decrees:

Art. 1º The text of the United Nations Convention on International Purchasing And Sale Contracts of Goods, established in Vienna, on April 11, 1980, within the framework of the United Nations Commission on International Mercantile Law.

Single Paragraph. They shall be subject to the approval of the National Congress any acts that may result in revision of the said Convention, as well as any supplementary adjustments which, pursuant to the inciso I of the art. 49 of the Federal Constitution, carries charges or written commitments to national heritage.

Art. 2º This Legislative Decree shall come into force on the date of its publication.
