The Vice-President of the REPUBLIC, the Office of the President of the Republic, using the powers that give the arts. 84, item IV, and 223, caput, of the Constitution, and 34, paragraph 1, of law nº 4,117 of August 27, 1962, and in view of the provisions of art. 29 of the Regulation of Broadcasting Services, approved by Decree No. 52,795, 31 October 1963, DECREES: Art. 1st Is concession granted to the entities mentioned below to explore for a period of ten years, without the right of exclusivity, broadcasting service on medium wave: I-communications Slabs System Ltd., in the city of Acopiara, State of Ceará (case # 53650.000661/98 and Competition No. 126/97-SSR/MC);
II-Radio Jericoacoara Ltda., in the city of Jijoca de Jericoacoara, Ceará state (case # 53650.000654/98 and Competition No. 126/97-SSR/MC);
III-Radio Britto Ltda., in the city of Novo Horizonte, State of Goiás (case # 53670.000143/98 and Competition nº 011/98-SSR/MC);
IV-Brazilian radio and Television Network Ltd., in the city of Edéia, State of Goiás (case # 53670.000144/98 and Competition nº 011/98-SSR/MC);
V-the Emerald Valley Radio Ltd., in the city of Pontalina, Goiás State (case # 53670.000141/98 and Competition nº 011/98-SSR/MC).
Art. 2nd the concessions now provided shall be governed by the Brazilian Telecommunications Code, subsequent laws, regulations and obligations for granted.
Art. 3 this Act will produce legal effects only after resolution of the National Congress, pursuant to § 3 of art. 223 of the Constitution.
Art. 4 contracts arising out of these concessions are expected to be signed within 60 days from the date of publication of the decision referred to in art. 3, under penalty of becoming void, as of right, the award granted.
Art. 5 this Decree shall enter into force on the date of your publication.
