EVO MORALES AYMA CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

For the Honorable National Congress, it has sanctioned the following Law: THE HONORABLE CONGRESS NATIONAL, DECREE: PROFESSIONAL EXERCISE OF AGRONOMIST ENGINEER

TITLE I GENERAL ASPECTS

CHAPTER I OF THE OBJECT AND SCOPE OF LAW

ARTICLE 1. This Law aims to regulate the professional exercise of the Agronomist Engineer, in the field of agricultural and related activities, which will be subject to the provisions contained in this Law.

ARTICLE 2. the effects of this Law, are Agronomist Engineers those who have fulfilled the requirements for obtaining the Academic Diploma and the Title in National Provision in branches of the agronomic sciences that constitute their area of professional training.

ARTICLE 3. The Title of Agronomist Engineer, awarded by the National University System or the one issued in favor of the Bolivian citizen by foreign university and which would have been revalidated in accordance with the treaties and agreements of reciprocity academic, enables your holder for professional exercise in the country.

ARTICLE 4. All the technical documents specifically related to the tasks related to the agronomy must be signed by an Agronomist Engineer who is legally entitled to the professional exercise.

ARTICLE 5. The illegal exercise of the profession of the Agronomist Engineer will be sanctioned according to the Penal Code.

CHAPTER II OF THE PROFESSIONAL EXERCISE

ARTICLE 6. The professional exercise of the Agronomist Engineer is registered and protected by the State. ARTICLE 7. The foreign agricultural engineers, with temporary residence, are obliged to process

personally a temporary work authorization before the Ministry of Labor, upon presentation of their respective Contract of Work and legalization of your Professional Title according to the current Bolivian norms.

ARTICLE 8. The accreditation and certification of agricultural production carried out by any public or private institution, must necessarily count with the participation of an Agronomist Engineer.

CHAPTER III OF THE DUTIES AND RIGHTS OF THE ENGINEER AGRONOMO

ARTICLE 9. They are the duties of the Agronomist Engineer: a) To exercise the profession by complying with the provisions laid down in the Constitution of the State and other

legal norms; b) To fulfill the obligations acquired with the clients or employers; and, c) Preserve the environment and the ecosystem, in the exercise of their profession. ARTICLE 10. They are the rights of the Agronomist Engineer: (a) to receive a remuneration according to their professional services; (b) to demand, in the competent authority, for damages when their legitimate rights are violated;

and, (c) National level, with its departmental subsidiaries. CHAPTER IV

OF THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

ARTICLE 11. Agricultural Engineers can provide services as independent or dependent professionals:

a) They are independent who provide their own services. b) Those who provide their services to an employer, whether public or private, are dependent. ARTICLE 12. To exercise the Profession, the Agronomist Engineers must have Title in Provision

National, which enables them to perform their functions anywhere in the country without the need for another requirement. Agronomists with a degree obtained in another country must revalidate it to practice the profession.

ARTICLE 13. The public, private and mixed companies and institutions that subscribe to contracts and agreements for research or advice with foreign technicians, related to agricultural development, must ensure that in the execution of the projects obligatorily participate Bolivian agronomists in the direction, research and execution of the projects.
