CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE REPAsBLICA

For how much, the Honorable National Congress has sanctioned the following Law:

THE H. NATIONAL CONGRESS

DECCRETA:

ArtA-culo lo†" The libraries of public offices and universities and schools, have the power to use the bibliographic classification systems of Dewey, the Brussels-based BibliogrA Institute or the Library of the Washington Congress.

ArtA-ass 2o. †" The annual tax of Five Bolivians (Bs) is created. 5. †") per inhabitant, throughout the territory of the Republic, to stop from the 21 years of age, for the following purposes;

a) The collection of the 1948 and 1949 years, for the sending of three becados who study the science of Librarian, in the Republic of Argentina, Brazil and the United States, and for the construction of the building of the Library and the National Archives;

b) The collection of 1950 onwards, for the operation of the Institute of Librarian-a Annex to the National Library, and the balance is allocated equally to all Departments of the Republic for the foundation and increase of popular libraries, corresponding to 50% of the respective share to the capitals and the other 50% to the provinces.

ArtA-culo 3o †" It is determined that, from January of January 1948, the Library and the National Archive, will depend on the technical and administrative of the University of San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca.
