For how much: the National Congress has sanctioned the following Law:

THE NATIONAL CONGRESS

DECCRETA:

ArtA-arse 1A ° †" In tribute to the memory of Colonel Eustaquio MA©ndez, hédroe of the people who fought for the National Independence, a civil holiday is declared in the entire Republic with suspension of public and private activities in the Department of Tarija, the dA-4 May 1949, the first centenary of the death of that guerrilla.

2A ° †" The authorities, institutions and especially educational establishments throughout the national territory will organize appropriate acts alluding to Eustaquio MA©ndez and his" montoneras ".

ArtA-culo 3A ° †" The Municipality of Tarija will build a public square between the neighborhoods of" San Roque "and" La Pampa ", which will carry the name of Eustaquio Méndez, and in it will be erected a monument to the mentioned hédroe. The Agricultural Board of Tarija will set up this square, which will open on May 4, 1949.

ArtA-arse 4A ° †" The Executive Branch will convene a national competition to write the biograph-a de Eustaquio MA©ndez. The prizes of this contest will be awarded the dA-to the first centenary of the death of MA©ndez.

ArtA-culo 5A ° †" In compliance with the law of 10 November 1947, the Executive Branch will immediately contract a two million bolivianos (Bs). 2,000,000,†") for the services of drinking water and energy-to power in San Lorenzo, capital of the province.
