CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE PLURINATIONAL STATE OF BOLIVIA

For the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, it has Sanctioned the following Act:

PLURINATIONAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,

D E C R E T A:

? NATIONAL PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST DAY

IN DEFENSE OF MOTHER EARTH?

Article 1. You declare the first Sunday of the month of September of each year, as the? NATIONAL DAY OF THE

PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST IN DEFENSE OF MOTHER EARTH?, in order to raise awareness about the protection of the Environment and therefore the protection of human health throughout the National Territory.

Article 2. Is prohibited in the? NATIONAL DAY OF THE PEDESTRIAN AND THE CYCLIST IN DEFENSE OF THE MOTHER

LAND?, the circulation of public and/or private motor vehicles, or any other motorized that uses some type of fuel from 00:00 a.m., until 18:00 p.m., On that day throughout the National Territory.

Article 3. With exceptional character and in cases of emergency the circulation of vehicles such as

ambulances, police vehicles, military, transit and fire services is authorized.

Article 4. The various State entities, private sector, educational institutions and civil society in general,

will be able to hold or organize in it? NATIONAL DAY OF THE PEDESTRIAN AND THE CYCLIST IN DEFENSE OF THE MOTHER EARTH?, educational activities of awareness, artistic, cultural and sports, which can be developed in public roads, as well as in squares and parks in general.

Article 5. Failure to comply with this Law shall give rise to the corresponding penalties provided by the Central Government or the Government of each autonomous territorial entity, as appropriate, taking care of its strict compliance, the Transit Operating Agency.

Article 6. The Executive Body through the corresponding Ministries in coordination with the governments of

the autonomous territorial entities, according to their competencies, they will enforce this Law.

Article 7. Central government and each government of the autonomous territorial entities, will issue the respective

regulatory standard, as appropriate, for the faithful compliance with this Law, observing their needs and territorial scope, at the same time prohibit the expense and consumption of alcoholic beverages during the course of this day.

Article 8. The Central Government and the governments of the autonomous territorial entities, as appropriate,

within its jurisdiction shall coordinate the operational aspects for the faithful compliance of the

Article 10. Any provision contrary to this Law is without effect.

It is given in the Session Room of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, on the twentieth day of the month of June of two

thousand eleven years.

Therefore, it has been enacted to comply with the law of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
