CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE PLURINATIONAL STATE OF BOLIVIA

For the Legislative Assembly Plurinational, has sanctioned the following Law:

THE PLURINATIONAL LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY,

D E C R E T A:

LAW OF SERVICE FOR THE PREVENTION OF TORTURE

Single Article. The Service is created for the Prevention of Torture? SEPRET, public institution

decentralized under the law of the Ministry of Justice, as a mechanism for the prevention of torture and other cruel, inhuman, degrading or humiliating treatment or punishment, subject to the Optional Protocol of the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, ratified by Law No 3298 of 12 December 2005.

FINAL PROVISIONS

FIRST. The Ministry of Economy and Public Finance will allocate the economic resources necessary for compliance with this Law.

SECOND. The Authority In the period of ninety (90) computer days from the publication of this Law, it will issue the Supreme Decree establishing the structure and operation of the Service for the Prevention of Torture.

Remitase to the Executive Body for constitutional purposes.

It is given in the Chamber From Sessions of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, to the eighteen days of the month of December of the year two thousand thirteen.
