The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. The Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty on the accession of the Republic of Hungary, signed in Brussels on 16 December 1997, will come out its full and full effect.
Art. 3. The Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty on the accession of the Republic of Poland, signed in Brussels on 16 December 1997, will come out its full and full effect.
Art. 4. The Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty on the Accession of the Czech Republic, signed in Brussels on 16 December 1997, will emerge its full and full effect.
Promulgate this law, order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.
Given at Châteauneuf-de-Grasse on 10 August 1998.

Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty
on the accession of the Republic of Hungary
Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty, signed on 4 April 1949 in Washington, D.C.,
Ensuring that the accession of the Republic of Hungary to the North Atlantic Treaty will increase the security of the North Atlantic region,
The following:
Article Ier
Upon the entry into force of this Protocol, the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shall, on behalf of all Parties, send an invitation to the Government of the Republic of Hungary to accede to the North Atlantic Treaty. In accordance with Article 10 of the Treaty, the Republic of Hungary will become a Party to this Treaty on the date of its deposit with the Government of the United States of America.
Article II
This Protocol shall enter into force when all Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty have notified their approval to the Government of the United States of America. The Government of the United States of America will inform all Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty of the date of receipt of each notification and the date of entry into force of this Protocol.
Article III
This Protocol, whose texts in English and French are equally authentic, will be deposited in the archives of the Government of the United States of America. Certified true copies will be transmitted by the latter to the governments of all other Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty.
In faith, the plenipotentiaries designated below have signed this Protocol.

Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty
on the accession of the Republic of Poland
Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty, signed on 4 April 1949 in Washington, D.C.,
Ensuring that the accession of the Republic of Poland to the North Atlantic Treaty will increase the security of the North Atlantic region,
The following:
Article I
Upon the entry into force of this Protocol, the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization shall, on behalf of all Parties, send an invitation to the Government of the Republic of Poland to accede to the North Atlantic Treaty. In accordance with Article 10 of the Treaty, the Republic of Poland will become a Party to this Treaty on the date of its deposit with the Government of the United States of America.

This Protocol shall enter into force when all Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty have notified their approval to the Government of the United States of America.
