The Chambers adopted in We sanction the following:
Article 1er
This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2
The title of Chapter III of the Special Law of 16 July 1993 to complete the federal structure of the State and to supplement the electoral legislation relating to the Regions and the Communities is amended as follows: "Simultaneous elections on the one hand, for the Legislative Chambers or the European Parliament and the Regional and Community Councils, and on the other, for the Legislative Chambers, the European Parliament and the Regional and Community Councils. »
Art. 3
Section 4 of the Act is replaced by the following provision:
“Art. 4. If the election for the renewal of the Legislative Chambers or of the European Parliament takes place at the same time as the elections for the Regional and Community Councils, the attendance tokens of the members of the electoral offices and the travel allowances of the electors are uniformly fixed in accordance with the amounts provided, as the case may be, for the legislative elections or for the election of the European Parliament.
If the election for the renewal of the Legislative Chambers takes place at the same time as the elections for the European Parliament and for the Regional and Community Councils, the tokens and allowances referred to in paragraph 1er are uniformly fixed in accordance with the amounts provided for in the legislative elections. For the purposes of this provision, the principal college offices, the principal provincial offices and the special electoral office for the election of the European Parliament, respectively referred to in articles 12, §§ 2 and 3, and 13 of the Act of 23 March 1989 on the election of the European Parliament, are assimilated respectively to the principal college offices for the election of the Senate, to the main cantonal offices for the legislative elections and to the principal electoral district offices for the election.
In the case of simultaneous elections for the renewal of the Legislative Chambers and the Regional and Community Councils, insurance premiums to cover bodily harm caused by accidents at election office members in the performance of their duties, travel expenses incurred by electors, presence tokens, and travel allowances for election office members are covered by 35% by all regions and communities concerned.
In the case of simultaneous elections for the renewal of the European Parliament and the Regional and Community Councils, the expenses referred to in paragraph 3 are borne by 50% by all regions and communities concerned.
In the case of simultaneous elections for the renewal of the Legislative Chambers, the European Parliament and the Regional and Community Councils, the expenses referred to in paragraph 3 are borne by 25% by all regions and communities concerned.
The expenses of the regions and communities under paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 are apportioned between these powers, prorated by the number of electors, in accordance with the terms and conditions established by the King. » .
Promulgate this law, order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.
