18 JUILLET 2001. - An Act to amend section 12bis of the Act of 17 April 1878 containing the Preliminary Title of the Code of Criminal Procedure (1)



ALBERT II, King of the Belgians,
To all, present and to come, Hi.
The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. Article 12bis of the Act of 17 April 1878 containing the Preliminary Title of the Code of Criminal Procedure, inserted by the Act of 17 April 1986, is replaced by the following provision:
"Belgian courts are competent to hear offences committed outside the territory of the Kingdom and covered by an international convention linking Belgium, when this convention imposes on it, in any way, to submit the case to its competent authorities for the prosecution. "
Promulgate this Act, order that it be put on the State Seal and published by the Belgian Monitor.
