19 DECEMBER 2006. - An Act to amend sections 1er and 2 of the Act of 8 April 1965 establishing the legal deposit at the Royal Library of Belgium to extend the scope to microfilms and digital media



ALBERT II, King of the Belgians,
To all, present and to come, Hi.
The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 78 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. Article 1er of the Act of 8 April 1965 establishing the legal deposit at the Royal Library of Belgium, as amended by the Act of 30 June 1994, is replaced by the following:
“Article 1er. Under the conditions established by this Act within the limits and in accordance with the terms determined by the King, publications of any kind multiplied by the means of printing or by any other graphic process, including microfilms, as well as documents published on digital or similar media, with the exception of cinematographic processes, shall be filed, in a copy, at the Royal Library of Belgium.
Digital support includes publications that are published on materials such as a diskette, CD, CD-Rom or DVD, with the exception of online publications.
For non-recurrent publications, books and brochures, two copies will be filed.
The King may plan to increase the number of copies of the publications referred to in paragraph 1. »
Art. 3. In article 2, third sentence, of the same law, the words "microfilms and digital or similar media" are inserted between the words "books and brochures" and the words "as well as";
Promulgation of this law, let us order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.
