22 AOUT 2006. - An Act to approve the Agreement, concluded by exchange of letters dated 21 March 2005 and 7 June 2005, amending the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the delimitation of the continental shelf between the two countries, signed in Brussels on 29 May 1991 (1) (2)

The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. The Agreement, concluded by exchange of letters dated 21 March 2005 and 7 June 2005, amending the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the delimitation of the continental shelf between the two countries, signed in Brussels on 29 May 1991, will come out its full and full effect.
Promulgation of this law, let us order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.

I have the honour to refer to the Agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the Delimitation of the Continental Shelf, made in Brussels on 29 May 1991 ("the Agreement").
In the light of the exchange of letters made in Brussels on 29 May 1991, which formed an integral part of the Agreement, and of the Agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the Delimitation of the Continental Shelf, made in Brussels on 18 December 1996, I have the honour to propose to you to make the following amendment to the Agreement:
- in Article 1er (1) of the Agreement, an additional item No. 4, will be added as follows:
4. 51° 52'34,012''' 02° 32'21,599'''
If the above proposal is acceptable to the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium, I have the honour to propose that this Note, together with Your Excellency's Response, will form the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Kingdom of Belgium. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of the notification by the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium of the completion of the formalities required for entry into force.
I have the honour to renew to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest consideration.

in Article 1(1) of the Agreement, an additional Point N° 4 shall be added, as follows:
4. 51° 52'34.012''' 02° 32'21.599'''
If the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium, I have the honour to propose that this Note, together with Your Excellency's Reply, shall constitute an agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium. This agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of the notification by the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium of the completion of its constitutional formalities required to bring it into effect.
