Annex 2. - Appendix III
Unloading standards
The Conference of the Contracting Parties,
in order to ensure that the list of substances in Appendix III of Annex 2 to the Convention takes into account the goods transported regularly by water,
in light of articles 14 and 19 of the Convention on the Collection, Deposit and Receipt of Wastes in Rhine and Inland Navigation,
notes the agreement of all Contracting Parties with this resolution,
adopts the 2010 version of Appendix III of the Application Regulations, as an annex, replacing Appendix III in the original version of Schedule 2,
This resolution will enter into force on 1er July 2010.

Appendix III of the Regulations
Unloading standards and requirements for deposit and reception for clearance of discharge of wash, precipitation and ballast water containing cargo residues
(Edition 2010)
Preliminary remarks
For the discharge of wash, precipitation or ballast water containing residues of cargo from holds or tanks that correspond to the unloading standards set out in Article 5.01 of the Application Regulations, Part B, the applicable deposit and reception requirements are specified in the table below according to the loaded goods and the unloading standards required for the holds and tanks. (1)
The columns of the table have the following meaning:
1. Column 1: Indication of the commodity number according to the harmonized cargo nomenclature for transport statistics (NST).
2. Column 2: Category of goods. Description according to the NST.
3. Column 3: Discharge of wash, precipitation and ballast water in the permitted waterway provided that prior to washing the required discharge standard in each case has been realized, i.e.,
A: swept or dried state for cargo tanks or tanks
or
B: aspirated condition for hold.
4. Column 4: Deposition of wash, precipitation and ballast water for discharge into the remediation network through the connections provided for this purpose, provided that prior to washing the required unloading standard has been realized, i.e.,
A: swept or dried state for cargo tanks or tanks
or
B: aspirated condition for holds
5. Column 5: Laying, precipitation and ballast water for special treatment S. The processing procedure is based on the nature of the cargo, e.g. dumping on land stock, shipping to a purification plant, preparation in an appropriate wastewater treatment plant.
6. Column 6: References to comments presented in footnotes.
Other observations regarding the use of the table
(a) In case the holds or tanks do not meet the required discharge standard A or B, the deposit for special treatment S is required.
(b) In the presence of cargo residues from different goods, disposal shall be carried out according to the goods that require the most severe deposit and receipt requirements in the table.
(c) In the case of a carriage of packages such as vehicles, containers, large bulk containers, pallets or packing goods, the provision for the applicable deposit and receipt is that relating to the bulk or liquid goods contained in these packages where damages or leaks of the goods have elapsed or escaped.
(d) Precipitation and ballast water from washed holds or tanks may be poured into the waterway.
(e) Washing water for swept-boards and other unclean surfaces such as hatch panels, roofs, etc. can be spilled into the waterway.

Annex 2. - Appendix IV
Unloading certificate
The Conference of the Contracting Parties,
aware of the need to adapt the Regulation to the needs of the economic operators concerned,
and the wish in this regard to align the discharge certificate further with the provisions of the Appreciation Regulations,
in light of articles 14 and 19 of the Convention on the Collection, Deposit and Receipt of Wastes in Rhine and Inland Navigation,
notes the agreement of all Contracting Parties with this resolution,
adopts the 2010 version of Appendix IV of the Application Regulations, replacing the model in the original version of Appendix 2.
This resolution will enter into force on 1er July 2010.

Annex 2. - Appendix V
Limit and control values for sewage stations on board passenger vessels
The Conference of the Contracting Parties,
Aware of the importance of harmonization of standards, for the respective European river basins, applicable to the discharge of domestic wastewater,
in light of articles 14 and 19 of the Convention on the Collection, Deposit and Receipt of Wastes in Rhine and Inland Navigation,
notes the agreement of all Contracting Parties with this resolution,
adopts the 2010 version of Appendix V on limit and control values for passenger-boat water purification plants, as an annex, replacing Appendix V in the original version of Appendix 2.
This resolution will enter into force on 1er July 2010.
