To all, present and to come, Hi.
The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 77 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. The Additional Protocol between the Kingdom of Belgium and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, signed in Brussels on 28 February 2005, will take effect.
Art. 3. This Act is effective February 28, 2005.
Promulgation of this law, let us order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.

Additional Protocol between the Kingdom of Belgium and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development
BELGIUM,
hereinafter referred to as "Belgium"
and
INTERNATIONAL BANQUE FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT,
below referred to as "BIRD"
Having regard to the Agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the establishment in Belgium of a liaison office of this Organization, signed on 26 April 1999;
Desirous of specifying the regime of privileges and immunities necessary for the exercise of the functions of the IDB Liaison Office,
The following agreed:
Article 1er
1. Without prejudice to the obligations that arise for Belgium of the provisions of the treaties concerning the European Union and the application of the legal and regulatory provisions, the officials of the IDB assigned to the Liaison Office shall enjoy the right, during the period of twelve months following their first taking of functions in Belgium, to import or acquire, with the exception of import duties and value added tax, furniture and a personal vehicle for their use.
2. The Minister of Finance of the Belgian Government sets the limits and conditions for the application of this section.
3. Belgium is not obliged to grant its own permanent nationals or residents the benefits referred to in § 1er of this article.
Article 2
Each Party shall notify the other party of the procedures required for the implementation of this Protocol.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed this Protocol.
Done in Brussels on 28 February 2005, in two copies, in French and Dutch, both texts being equally authentic.
