The Chambers adopted and We sanction the following:
Article 1
er. This Act regulates a matter referred to in Article 78 of the Constitution.
Art. 2. Section 2 of the Act of 5 May 1997 on the Coordination of Sustainable Development Policy, as amended by the Act of 30 July 2010, is supplemented as follows:
"10 reference period: the five-year period for which indicative policy objectives are set for the implementation of the strategic vision for long-term sustainable development."
Art. 3. In section 3 of the Act, as amended by the Act of 30 July 2010, the following amendments are made:
1° in paragraph 1
erthe words "every five years" are repealed;
2° in paragraph 3, the words "The plan contains, among other things:" are replaced by the words "Every plan is fixed for the reference period and contains:"
Art. 4. Section 6 of the Act, as amended by the Act of 30 July 2010, is replaced by the following:
"Art. 6. Any new plan shall be decided within twelve months after the establishment of a government following the full renewal of the House of Representatives.
If the installation of a government follows the renewal of the House of Representatives following its early dissolution, the King may derogate from the previous paragraph to decide to maintain the current plan.
Any current plan remains in force until the new plan is fixed."
Art. 5. Section 6/1 of the Act, inserted by the Act of 30 July 2010, is replaced by the following:
"Art. 6/1. Each Minister and Secretary of State of the Government writes in its annual policy note a chapter on the economic, social and ecological impact of the various planned measures and achievements that are linked to the federal plan."
Art. 6. The King is authorized to amend the Federal Sustainable Development Plan 2004-2008, set by the Royal Decree of 28 October 2004, by order deliberately in the Council of Ministers, until the next federal sustainable development plan is finalized.
Promulgation of this law, let us order that it be clothed with the seal of the State and published by the Belgian Monitor.
