241. Regulation of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and labour of the vocational training in the teaching of machine mechanics (engine mechanics training regulations)

On the basis of articles 8 and 24 of the vocational training Act, Federal Law Gazette No. 142/1969, as last amended by the Federal Act Federal Law Gazette I no. 79/2003, is prescribed:

Teaching machine mechanics



§ 1 (1) the teaching machine mechanics is decorated with an apprenticeship of four years.

(2) in the apprenticeship contracts, teaching certificates, apprenticeship completion certificates and pretty is the teaching profession in the form of the corresponding to the gender of the apprentice (mechanic or machine mechanic).

Professional profile



§ 2. Through the vocational training in teaching and in the vocational school trained apprentice should be enabled independently, professionally and independently carry out the following activities:

Repetition of the exam



11. (1) the midterm can be repeated.

(2) the repeat test shall be limited to the items assessed with "Not enough".

Final apprenticeship examination

12. (1) the apprenticeship-leave examination is divided in a practical and a theoretical review and includes also an examination of choice of the candidates.

(2) the practical examination includes the items of inspection work and consultation.

(3) the theoretical exam consists of the items



1. technology, 2 applied mathematics, 3 technical drawing.

(4) the theoretical test is omitted if the candidate has reached the teaching objective of the last class of technical vocational school or the successful completion of a replacement the apprenticeship vocational middle or higher school.

(5) the examination may be completed voluntarily if in the framework of Berufsreifeprüfung spare of part testing Department is sought.

Practical exam

Audit work

Applied mathematics



Section 18 (1) has the test to include the answer of depending on a task from the following areas:



1 length, area, volume, mass and angle calculations, 2.
Machining, 3.
trade-relevant calculations (such as strength, speed, power, pneumatic, hydraulic calculations, etc.), 4.
Measuring technology and quality assurance, 5.
Calculations to computer-aided manufacturing programs.

(4) the examination is to end after 105 minutes.

Technical drawing



Section 19 (1) has the test to include the creation of a standardised production drawing of mechanical part taking the computer-based (CNC) manufacturing:

Repetition of the exam



§ 20.

(1) the final apprenticeship examination (disregarding the technical examination pursuant to § 15) can be repeated.

(2) if evaluated up to three items with "Not enough", the repeat testing on the items rated "Insufficient" is to limit.

(3) If more than three items with "Not enough" have been assessed, is the entire test to repeat.

(4) the examination (section 15) can not be repeated. Admission to the professional examination is carried out according to the provisions of the Federal law on the Berufsreifeprüfung, Federal Law Gazette I no. 68/1997, as amended by Federal Law Gazette I no. 21/1998 and Federal Law Gazette I no. 52/2002.

Final and transitional provisions



21. (1) this regulation 1 June 2004 into force.

(2) the training regulations for the teaching of mechanic, Federal Law Gazette II No. 84/1997, is without prejudice to the paragraph 3 with expiry of the 31 May 2004 override.

(3) apprentices, who are trained on 31 May 2004 in the teaching of mechanics can be trained in accordance with the training regulations listed in paragraph 2 to the end of the agreed upon apprenticeship and able to face up to one year after the expiry of the agreed upon apprenticeship to the final apprenticeship examination according to the test provisions laid down in this training.

(4) the lumberyards, which were completed in the teaching of mechanics according to the training regulations listed in paragraph 2, are fully expect machine mechanics on the apprenticeship in the teaching profession.
