117. Presentation of the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the European Convention on the supervision of convicted persons or persons who have been dismissed

According to the Communications of the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, the following other States have their instruments of ratification of the European Convention on the Monitoring of Persons Sentenced or Dismissed (BGBl). No 248/1980, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III No 155/2002).

On the occasion of the deposit of their instrument of ratification, the following states have declared the following reservations, or Statements made:

Estonia:

The Republic of Estonia declares, in accordance with Article 38 (1) of the Convention, that it reserves the right not to adopt Titles III and IV of the Convention.

The Republic of Estonia declares, in accordance with Article 29 (2) of the Convention, that requests and the attached documents must be accompanied by a translation into English.

Slovakia:

The Slovak Republic avails itself of the possibility provided for in Article 38 (1) of the Convention, and reserves the right provided for in point 3 of the Annex to not adopt the provisions of Article 37 (2) of the Convention.

The Slovak Republic makes use of the possibility provided for in Article 27 (4) of the Convention and declares that requests and any notification under the Convention shall be addressed to the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.

The Slovak Republic avails itself of the possibility provided for in Article 29 (2) of the Convention and declares that requests and enclosed documents addressed to its authorities with a translation into the Slovak language shall be made available to the Slovak Republic. must be provided. However, should the production of translations into the Slovak language give the requesting State insurmountable difficulties, the documents can also be provided with a translation either into English or French.
