12. Representing the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Convention on Wetlands, in particular as a habitat for water and cotton wreaways, of international importance

Notification of the following Ramsar sites in accordance with Article 2 (5) of the Convention on Wetlands, in particular as a habitat for water and wadding birds, of international importance 1 :

Bayerische Wildalm and Wildalmfilz

The Ramsar area "Bayerische Wildalm and Wildalmfilz" (11 ° 48 'E, 47 ° 35' N) covers an area of 132.57 ha in the district of Kufstein in the municipality of Brandenberg and is limited in the north from the national border to Germany. The sub-area Bayerische Wildalm is located in the biogeographical region "Northern Alps-Northern Alps and Flyschzone-Sonnwendjoch", the sub-area Wildalmfilz in the biogeographical region "Northern Alps-Northern Limestone Alps-Rofangruppe". The areas of the Ramsar area are predominantly moor areas and are located at an altitude of 1430 to 1470 m within an imaginary triangle between the peaks of the Halserspitze (1863 m), the Wilderlochberg (1629 m) and the evening stone (1598 m).

Moor and Lake Landscape Keutschach-Schiefling

The wetland complex "Moor-und Seenlandschaft Keutschach-Schiefling" in the province of Carinthia includes areas of the municipality of Keutschach am See with the Katastralmunicipalities 72126 Keutschach, 72151 Plescherken and 72170 St. Nikolai and the municipality Schiefling am See with the catastral communities 72166 St. Kathrein and 72182 Techelweg to the extent of 542.72 hectares. The Ramsar area (14 ° 04 '10' '-14 ° 13' 54 '' E; 46 ° 34 '14' '-46 ° 36' 07 '' N) is located in the valley floor between the Sattnitz-Höhenzug in the south and the L 97 Keutschacher Straße and/or L 98 Farrendorfer Straße in the north or West. It consists of several sub-areas, starting in the east with the Rauschelesee-Bassgeigensee, the Dobeinmoor-Keutschachersee, the Hafnersee-Penekensee-Reauzmoor, Farrendorfermoor and ending in the Roachmoor near St. Egyden in the west; it extends Over 12.5 km in length between 507 and 615 m above sea level.

The authorization to submit this declaration was signed by the Federal President on 4 May 2005 and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor.
