According to the note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Côte d' Ivoire, on 15 February 2013, adopted its instrument of ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (BGBl). According to a further note from the Secretary-General of 29 April 2015, the United Kingdom Government of Great Britain and Northern Ireland announced on 20 April 2015 that:

" The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland wishes to see the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court by the United Kingdom 1 to Gibraltar, for whose international relations the United Kingdom is responsible.

The Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland considers that the extension of the Rome Statute to Gibraltar will become legally effective as from the date of the deposit of this notice. "
