The Kingdom of the Netherlands made the following statement on 10 February 2006:

On 13 June 2002, the Council of the European Union adopted a framework decision (2002/584/JHA) on the European arrest warrant and the surrender procedures between the Member States ('the framework decision '). Article 31 of the Framework Decision states that from 1. With this in mind, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands confirms that the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on extradition ("the Second Additional Protocol") no longer exceeds the Kingdom of the Netherlands ' relationship, which is located in Europe, is applicable to the Member States of the European Union, which are parties to the Second Additional Protocol.

United Kingdom:

Declaration on Art. 8:

The Government of the United Kingdom declares that the Second Additional Protocol is applicable to the Isle of Man and Guernsey, as territories for whose international relations the Government of the United Kingdom is responsible.

Declaration on Art. 9:

In accordance with Article 9 (2), the United Kingdom does not recognise Chapter I, Chapter III, Chapter IV, and Chapter V of the Protocol with regard to the Isle of Man and Guernsey.
