151. Presentation by the Federal Chancellor of the scope of the European Agreement on the arrangements for the movement of persons between the Member States of the Council of Europe and the amendment of the Annex by Greece

According to the note by the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, on 21 June 2006, Ukraine adopted its instrument of ratification of the European Agreement on the regulation of the movement of persons between the Member States of the Council of Europe (BGBl. No 175/1958, as last amended by BGBl. III n ° 240/2002, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III No 111/2002).

On the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, Ukraine has made the following statements:

Declaration on Art. 1:

Ukraine declares that, in accordance with Article 1 (4) of the Agreement, the term "territory" refers to the territory on which Ukraine exercises jurisdiction in accordance with its domestic law.

Declaration on Art. 7:

Ukraine declares that, in accordance with part two of Article 7 of the Agreement, it will suspend the application of this Agreement to those contracting parties which apply part one of Article 7 to Ukraine.

Declaration on Art. 11:

In accordance with Art. 11 of the Agreement, the Government of Ukraine declares that the list of documents referred to in Article 1 (1) reads:

-the passport of the citizens of Ukraine for travel abroad

-the diplomatic passport

-the service passport

-the children's travel document

-the seaman identity card (subject to the boarding list of the ship or of a trainee)

-the passport of the flight crew (subject to the records on the flight list)

-the identity card for the return to Ukraine (only for return to Ukraine).

The agreement entered into force on 1 July 2006 in accordance with its Article 9 for Ukraine.

According to a further note by the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Greece has the list of badouts in accordance with Article 11 of the Agreement 1 in accordance with Article 1 (1), amended as follows:

-Valid Greek Passport;

-Personal Identity Card;

-valid Greek passport;

-identity card;

and thus the term "touristic identity card" is replaced by the term "personal identity card".

No objections have been raised by the contracting parties to the Agreement against the amendment of the list, and it has therefore entered into force on 22 September 2004 in accordance with Article 11 of the Agreement.
