Bolivia:

The Republic of Bolivia does not consider itself bound by Article 15 (2), which governs the settlement of disputes relating to this Protocol.

European Community:

Article 16 (3) of the Protocol to Prevent, Combat and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, stipulates that the instrument of accession to regional economic integration should include a declaration on the subject, which matters the organisation of which has been entrusted to the Organization by the Member States which are party to the Protocol shall be governed by the Protocol;

The Protocol to Prevent, Suppression and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, is applied to those Territories in which the powers conferred on the European Community are to be applied. Treaty establishing the European Community shall be applied and subject to the conditions laid down in this Treaty, in particular Article 299 thereof and the annexed Protocols thereto.

This declaration does not affect the position of the United Kingdom and Ireland in accordance with the Additional Protocol which takes over the legal status of Schengen into the European Community and, in accordance with the Protocol on the position of the United Kingdom, Kingdom and Ireland to the Treaty on European Union and to the Treaty establishing the European Community.

This declaration shall also be without prejudice to the position of Denmark in accordance with the Protocol on the position of Denmark concerning the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty establishing the European Community.

In accordance with Article 299, that declaration shall not be applied in the territories of the Member States in which the said Treaty is not applied and shall not affect those acts or points of view such as those referred to in the Additional Protocol by the parties concerned. Member States shall be adopted on behalf of and in the interests of those Territories. In accordance with the above provision, this declaration refers to the competence conferred on the Member States of the Community in accordance with the Treaties in matters governed by the Protocol. The scope and the exercise of this Community competence shall be subject, by reason of their nature, to the continuous development of other relevant provisions and regulations by the Community and the Community shall be subject to such conditions, Declaration, if necessary, supplement or amend in accordance with Article 16 (3) of the Protocol.

The Community stresses that it has competence with regard to crossing the external borders of the Member States by laying down standards and procedures for the control of persons at such borders and by establishing rules on visas for No more than three months.

The Community is also responsible for measures relating to immigration and residence conditions, as well as measures against unauthorised immigration and residence, including the repatriation of persons without a legitimate right to immigration and residence. Saudi Arabia:

The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not consider itself bound by Article 15 (2) of the Protocol.

Uzbekistan:

The Republic of Uzbekistan does not consider the conditions of Art. 15 (2). of the Protocol.

According to a further note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Kingdom of the Netherlands 1 on the 18th January 2007 extended the scope of the Additional Protocol to Aruba.
