39. Revelation of the Federal Chancellor concerning the partial amendment of the declarations of the Republic of Austria pursuant to Article 24 (1) of the Convention, drawn up by the Council in accordance with Article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual legal assistance in Criminal matters between the Member States of the European Union of 29.5.2000

The Austrian Declaration 1 on Article 24 (1) of the Convention, drawn up by the Council in accordance with Article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual assistance in criminal matters between the Member States of the European Union of 29 May 2000, it shall be amended to: competent authorities pursuant to Articles 13, 14 and 18, 19 and 20 (1) to (5) shall be designated as follows:

-for requests pursuant to Art. 13:

the public prosecutor's office in whose reputation the Joint Investigation Group is to be formed;

-for requests pursuant to Art. 14:

the public prosecutor's office, where the use is expected to commend;

-within the meaning of Articles 18, 19 and 20 (1) to (5):

the public prosecutor's office at the seat of the locally competent national court.

In addition, the Austrian declaration on Article 24 (1) of the Convention remains unchanged.

The partial amendment of the declarations was notified to the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union on 16 April 2009; the reception was confirmed by the Secretary-General on 20 April 2009.
