93. Reaction of the Federal Chancellor concerning the scope of the Convention on the proceedings in civil law matters

According to the announcement by the Dutch government, Iceland 1 On 9 July 2009, the following Declaration on the Convention on Civil Law Procedure (BGBl. No. 91/1957, last proclamation of the BGBl area. (III) No 73/2009):

Iceland hereby declares that in civil and commercial matters the service of documents addressed to persons abroad pursuant to Article 1 (1) of the Convention relating to the proceedings in civil law matters to the Ministry of Justice and church affairs.

Iceland further declares that, under Article 9 (1) of the Convention on the procedure in civil cases, the request shall be addressed to the Ministry of Justice and Church Affairs by the consul of the requesting State.

Finally, Iceland declares that the search for a person in need who is in a country other than that in which, pursuant to Article 23 (1) of the Convention on the procedure in civil cases, is free of charge, the applicant is entitled to , it should be forwarded to the Ministry of Justice and Church Affairs.
