Agreement between the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Austria

The St. Gallen-Altenrhein airfield expects significant additional traffic through state aircraft and business jets during the World Economic Forum (WEF), which is held annually in Davos, and shortly before and after that. In order to ensure that the expected additional traffic volume during the duration of the WEF or , the following amendment to the RessortAgreement of 19 March 1992 will be carried out one day before and after that, for the WEF taking place in 2010, 2011 and 2012 1 on the implementation of the Treaty between the Swiss Confederation and the Republic of Austria on the effects of the operation of existing frontier aerodrots on those points which are likely to cope with the expected additional Traffic resists, decided:

Exception permits

The aerodrome management may grant the same exemptions for flight movements required for the implementation of the WEF, as provided for in point 3.3.2. of the RessortAgreement for Travelling Flights. The general opening hours of the St. Gallen-Altenrhein airfield remain untouched.

Day Noise Points

The The daily noise limitation specified in point 2.2. of the Ressortagreement may be exceeded for the flight movements required for the implementation of the WEF. The daily noise points used in each case over the limit of 100,000 daily noise points shall be compensated within 30 days (floating).

Information

The Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications informs the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology and the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government at the latest three months before the WEF on the precise Period of the event.

4.

Reporting

In the report to be submitted to the Office of the Government of the State of Vorarlberg pursuant to paragraph 2.2.2. of the Agreement on the observance of the day-to-day noise limitation shall also be reported on the derogations granted pursuant to paragraph 1 above.
