The instrument of ratification signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor was deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations on 30 August 2010; in accordance with Article 8 (3) of the Convention, the Convention applies to Austria 28. November 2010, in force.

On the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, the Republic of Austria has made the following statement:

In accordance with article 11 of the Agreement, the Republic of Austria declares that it does not consider itself bound by article 10 of this Agreement.

In accordance with Article 11 of the Convention, the Republic of Austria declares that it does not consider itself bound by Article 10 of the Convention.

According to communications from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following other States have ratified, approved or acceded to the Convention:

Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Italy, Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, The Netherlands (for the Kingdom of Europe), Romania, Russian Federation, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary.
