According to the Communications of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the following other States have their accession instruments to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal (BGBl. N ° 229/1993, last amended by BGBl III No 46/2010 , last proclamation of the BGBl scope. III N ° 77/2006)

Furthermore, Montenegro, with its effectiveness of 3 June 2006, has declared that it should continue to comply with the Convention.
In addition, the United Kingdom 1 6 September 2006 and 6 September 2006 respectively 14 September 2007 stated that the Convention was based on the Sovereign Bases of Akrotiri and Dhekelia on the island of Cyprus, Jersey is to be used.
Denmark 2 extended the scope of the Convention to Greenland and the Faroe Islands on 30 April 2008.
According to a further note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Netherlands made the following statement on 17 February 2010:
The Kingdom of the Netherlands 3 Declares, in accordance with Article 20 (3) of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and its Disposal, that it is binding on both the means of dispute referred to in this paragraph in relation to each party that recognises one or both means of dispute settlement.
