On the occasion of the deposit of its instrument of ratification, Estonia has made the following statement:
In accordance with Article 3 (1) and Annex I to the Protocol, the Republic of Estonia shall determine the reference years as follows:
Mercury (Hg)-year 1990
Cadmium (Cd)-year 1990
Lead (Pb)-year 1990.
According to a further note by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Kingdom of the Netherlands 1 On 17 February 2010 the following statement was made:
According to Article 11 (2) of the Protocol to the 1979 Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution on Heavy Metals, the Kingdom of the Netherlands declares that it is both the dispute settlement procedure referred to in this paragraph be accepted as compulsory in respect of each Contracting Party which recognises one or both means of dispute settlement.
