The instrument of ratification signed by the Federal President and countersigned by the Federal Chancellor was deposited with the Director-General of the International Labour Office on 20 May 2011; the Convention therefore enters into force in accordance with Article 8 (3) of the Convention. Austria will enter into force on 20 May 2012.
According to communications from the Director-General of the International Labour Office, the following other countries have ratified the Convention:
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Cuba, Moldova, Niger, Russian Federation, Sweden, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Cyprus.
