132. by-laws of the Federal Minister for arts and culture, constitutional and media regarding the scope of the Convention on the rights of the child

After notification of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, South Sudan is its instrument of accession to the Convention on the rights of the child on 23 January 2015 (Federal Law Gazette No. 7/1993, last proclamation of the scope BGBl. III No. 91/2013) deposited.

After further releases of the Secretary-General according to following States have their on the occasion of the depositing of the reservations issued instruments of ratification or accession to the Convention and declarations partially or completely withdrawn or amended:

Brunei Darussalam:

On August 10, 2015 the Government of Brunei announced Darussalam the Secretary-General of the United Nations their decision, the Vorbehalte1 declared on the occasion of accession to article 20 par. 1 and 2 as well as article 21 lit. (a) to withdraw.

The reservations to article 14, article 20 para. 3 and art. 21 lit. b, c, d and e of the Convention remain still upright.

Iceland:

On 20 may 2015 the Government of Iceland announced its decision the Secretary-General of the United Nations to withdraw the Erklärung2 specified when depositing the instrument of ratification to article 37 of the Convention.

Kiribati:

On 16 September 2015 the Government of the Republic of Kiribati announced their decision the Secretary-General to withdraw the Vorbehalte3 declared on the occasion of accession to article 24, article 26 and article 28 of the Convention.

Oman:

The Government of the Sultanate of Oman, the Secretary-General of the United Nations communicated its decision to withdraw the Vorbehalte4 declared on the occasion of the accession to articles 7, 9, 21 and 30 of the Convention with effect from January 14, 2011.

Also has amended the reservation in respect of article 14 of the Convention with effect from 14 January 2011 the Government of the Sultanate of Oman as follows:

"The Sultanate of Oman considered on article 14 of the Convention, which gives the right to freedom of religion the child until attaining the age of majority, than not bound."

 

In addition, the United kingdom5 extended the territorial area of application of the present Convention on April 29, 2014 to Jersey.
