143. Presentation of the Federal Minister for Arts and Culture, the Constitution and the Media, concerning the scope of the European Convention on the Adoption of Children

According to a statement by the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia has taken the occasion of the ratification of the European Convention on the Adoption of Children (BGBl. No. 314/1980, last proclamation of the BGBl area. III n ° 38/2012) 1 modified as follows and extended for a further five years from 16 April 2008:

" In accordance with Article 25 (1) of the Convention, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia declares that it will not apply the provision of Article 7 (1) concerning the age of the accepting person, since the minimum age under the law of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is not applicable. Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 18 years and the upper limit of 45 years. "

Furthermore, on 22 February 2013, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia extended its reservation by Article 7 (1) of the Convention for a further five years from 16 April 2013.

According to a further note by the Secretary-General, the Czech Republic has retained its reservation declared at deposit of the instrument of ratification. 2 with regard to Article 7 (1) of the Convention for a further five years, starting from 9 December 2015.
